Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information BABYLON ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers three things we run:
- This website, babylonvision.net.
- BABYLON School, our school management platform used by schools, their staff, students and families.
- BABYLON Social Publisher, our internal tool (postiz.babylonvision.net) that we use to schedule and publish BABYLON's own posts on social media.
1. Information we collect
Website. When you visit, our server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use it only to keep the site working and secure. The site remembers your language choice in your own browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you email us, join the waitlist or use the contact form, we receive what you send: for example your name, school, reason for interest, governorate, phone or WhatsApp number, email address and message. If you join the waitlist we contact you on the WhatsApp number you give us; messages on WhatsApp are also handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
BABYLON School. Schools enter and manage the information in their own BABYLON School account. This can include:
- account details: name, email address, username, phone number and a securely hashed password;
- school records: student and guardian details, enrolment, attendance, exams and grades, fees and receipts, timetables and transport;
- security records: sign-in times, devices and actions, kept to protect accounts.
BABYLON Social Publisher. We connect only accounts that BABYLON owns or manages (for example our Facebook Page, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Telegram channel). When we connect an account, the platform gives us that account's ID, name and profile picture, the list of pages we manage, an access token, and data about our own posts such as comments and basic performance figures. We do not use the tool to access other people's accounts or private messages.
2. How we use information
- to run, secure and improve the website and BABYLON School;
- to let schools manage students, staff and families, and to let families see their own children's information;
- to send account emails such as activation and password reset;
- to publish and schedule BABYLON's posts, reply to comments on them, and see how they perform;
- to contact you about BABYLON School if you joined the waitlist or asked for a demo;
- to answer your messages and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
3. Who we share it with
- Service providers that host our servers and deliver our emails, only as needed to provide the service.
- Social media platforms, when we publish BABYLON's content to them.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
Inside BABYLON School, each school can see only its own information, and each person sees only what their role allows.
4. Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Access to servers and data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information and to fix problems quickly.
5. How long we keep it
- Website server logs: a limited time, normally no longer than 90 days.
- Waitlist and contact messages: until we have followed up with you, and no longer than 2 years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- BABYLON School records: for as long as the school uses the service, then deleted or returned as agreed with the school.
- Social media connection data: until we disconnect the account or you ask us to delete it.
6. Children's information
BABYLON School holds student information on behalf of schools. Schools and parents or guardians decide what is entered. This website is not designed to collect information directly from children.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information. For records inside BABYLON School, please contact your school first, because the school manages that information; we will help the school act on your request. To ask us directly, email [email protected]. Instructions for deleting data received from Facebook, Instagram or other platforms are on our Data Deletion page.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
